A downloadable game for Windows

Welcome to Freakquency!

(Made for the Ludum Dare Game Jam)

Use the WASD key to move Hertz around and press J and L on your keyboard to change between 4 frequencies. Each frequency will toggle platforms for you to use to reach the goal and progress on to the next level. The frequency you are on is made visible with the antenna on top of your head! When you make it to the end of the 6th level, you’ve gone and done it and become a winner!

Known Issues:

  • Fullscreening the game causes the background to break. Apologies we are baby programmers

Message: This is our collective first game jam and I am so incredibly proud of everyone who has participated. After three days of screaming, crying, and throwing up, we’ve made it across the finish line. Many thanks to Anthony for being our mentor and savior, and giving us all the help we asked for when we became big babies who hated looking at our computer screens.

Thank you 10 times to Clara for the amazing assets and their incredible work. They’ve made this simple game come alive and have so personality. Absolutely amazing work for a first game!

And a simple many many thanks to Alex for entertaining this absolutely crazy idea to participate in this Ludum Dare. Why did we do this? I am dying.

And a final thank you to everyone who checks this game out. We are so grateful that you’ve done so, and we are open to feedback! Please aid us in our journey as beginner game devs <3 (nicely of course!).
